2026 Schapendoes Club Show

Thursday July 30th a completely packed camper went from Månkarbo - Stockholm for more luggage and a few passengers and further on to Vårgårda. Both 2-legged and 4-legged. We only had Chezter with us this time. The girls who was in heat got to be with Elenore and then Sateen.

It's always so nice to come down to Vårgårda and meet all the Schappe people. There's a lot of work, but even though you're so exhausted on Sunday when the car rolls home, you're filled with joy and energy.

Friday There was competition in rally obedience and NoseWork.

Annika & Mira who were also iwith us this year, competed in both disciplines. In the rally beginners class they were placed 3rd and 95p, it was tight as the 1st in the beginner class won 98p and the 2nd 96p. It was their first time competing, so cool! In the NW they took 3 out of 4 hides. So well done.

Saturday it was time for the show. Mira was to be shown in the jintermediate class and Chezter in the Champion class, which meant that those of us who show dogs AND work with the show were not allowed to meet the judges. However, there were others who made sure they were well taken care of.

Mira's results in the Jintermediate class were VG and a second place. The female judge gave out a lot of VG and was very stingy with ck. They did it together and they did well. Judge: Anita van Bussel-Teersteg

Chezter was awarded Excellent 3 and CK in Champion class. He was slow, low and I couldn't get him going, but the criticism was great. When it was time for the Best Male class it was different. When we were going to run he bounced right up into the air twice, then he and I flew around the ring. It felt absolutely magical. Apparently the judge thought so too, as he thanked the 2 champion males who beat us in the champion class and put Chezter in 1st place. 💃

The ring secretary then informed the judge that he was now doing a cross-judgment. Which he was aware of and justified by saying that "that is the best dog and now he also moved best. That's how I want it. " Judge: John Wauben

When it was time for Best In Show, Chezter competed against his daughter Cleo. So much fun. Father & Daughter in BIS. Cleo became BIS & Chezter BIS2.

On Sunday, Chezter and I were supposed to compete in Agility, but the weekend had drained us both so we dropped out. We picked, cleaned and packed while the Agility & Breeding Assessment was going on.

But, we were also waiting for another show result. Elenore & Yuffie went to Svenstavik for show. 2 Schapenoes entered, 1 Champion male and Yuffie. Yuffie was rewarded with VG1. Judge: Eva Liljekvist Borg

On Tuesday, Dessie and the kids came here and hung out with us for a few days before they went home to Portugal. We ate well, drank wine and talked until late in the evening. Sooo cozy! ❤️

Now I'm going to try to get back to my daily routine and maybe get some extra rest. :-) But I am also excited for and longing for next year. Club Show 2027.
